Building capacity in the developing world to deal with the impacts of climate change

Client

The Solar Radiation Management Governance Initiative (SRMGI) is a partnership launched in 2010 by the Royal Society, The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS - UNESCO), and Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) in response to the Royal Society’s "Geoengineering the Climate" report. Its mission is to build the capacity of developing countries and emerging economies to evaluate SRM and to bring new voices to the discussion of research governance.

Mission and impacts

• Providing specialized management services as part of the SRMGI DECIMALS fund, the first-ever developing world SRM modelling research fund;
• Providing specialized management services as part of the Solar Radiation Management Governance Initiative;
• Organizing SRMGI outreach meetings throughout the developing world.
